At Systematic, we strive for product stability, accountability, and innovation, and we work towards these goals by following the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. You will be part of a competent SRE team working on the basis of the DevOps culture. Together with the team, you will ensure reliable application operations in development teams across the premises.
Deploy, coordinate, and advise on platform releases
As a Deployment Engineer in the SRE team, you will have an essential role in the release management lifecycle. This involves deployment, providing guidance on scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases for our platform across all key distribution channels used by the organisation. You will work closely with various IT teams and business units to deliver cutting-edge technology and enable the organisation’s digital capabilities.
Your daily tasks will involve the following:
- Utilize cloud-native tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes, and Helm/Harper to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of applications.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to applications and infrastructure through effective troubleshooting and debugging practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in deployment-related processes, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure that all software changes meet organizational risk management standards and do not pose a potential threat to system stability or security.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively during application delivery and support, including participation in CAB and risk-assessment meetings.
You are the colleague we’re looking for if you …
… have experience working with deployment and a sound understanding of release management. Additionally, you have experience in IT application development and expertise in the software development lifecycle. Experience in Agile software development is a plus, as well as familiarity with SRE practices and principles.
In addition, it is a plus if you:
- have an understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- are comfortable with Agile/iterative project management methodologies.
- are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.
