Service Designer, Defence Service Development
Join us in this high-impact role designing world-class services that empower defence organisations globally to achieve operational excellence.
The job: Transform military capabilities through strategic service design
As a Service Designer, you will build on and further develop our existing service offerings, ensuring that they continue to support the predictable, high-quality delivery of defence IT services globally. These offerings span pre-sales, system design, deployment, training, bespoke software development, testing and operations. Through innovative service design, systems thinking and deep user understanding, your work will strengthen how complex C4I capabilities are packaged, delivered and supported – helping our customers sustain operational readiness.
Your key responsibilities:
• Strengthen and evolve standardised service packages to ensure consistent and repeatable delivery across customers and constellations.
• Build on existing service definitions and best practices by analysing customer organisations, operational contexts and delivery experiences to identify improvement opportunities.
• Extend and refine the service catalogue by translating input from Sales, delivery teams, global constellations and customers into clearer and more robust service definitions.
• Improve existing service blueprints, delivery models and customer journeys with a focus on operational fit, role clarity and predictable outcomes.
• Facilitate structured workshops and working sessions to align and validate service content with delivery teams and key stakeholders.
• Continuously improve service packages based on delivery feedback, operational experience, and evolving customer needs.
Success in this role means customers can smoothly transition from initial engagement to effective operational use, are fully prepared to operate solutions through comprehensive training and procedures, maintain sustained operational capability over time, and ultimately achieve their intended mission outcomes. Your work will directly enable defence organisations to deploy and sustain critical C4I capabilities with confidence.
Expected business travel: approx. one trip per month.
