Systematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situationsSystematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situations

Service Business Engineer

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to drive business development and shape how both digital and non-digital services create real customer value? In this role you will bridge the gap between product capabilities and customer operations by driving the development of scalable service models, business cases and commercial assets.

The role: Turning business needs into scalable services that create impact

In this role you will help define and scale a service delivery model that bridges the gap between our commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and the value realised by end-users while enabling sustainable growth in our international service business.

You will contribute directly to this strategical goal by shaping how our digital products and services are delivered, packaged and communicated. You will translate commercial needs into actionable models, business cases and collateral that support market fit and long-term service scalability.

Your key tasks will include:

  • translating commercial and customer needs into business requirements that shape an end-to-end service delivery model
  • developing and maintaining business cases for offerings in the Service Catalogue
  • creating commercial and sales collateral, including customer-facing materials in collaboration with Marketing and Sales
  • providing business insights through customer journey mapping and competitor and market analysis
  • supporting pricing model development and maintaining commercial assets and documentation.

In this role you can expect limited business travel.

The team: You will join the Service Business Development Team

You will report to the Head of Service Development and work out of our head office in Aarhus, Denmark. Service Development is a newly established team within Defence Services, primarily based in Aarhus.

You will join a dynamic and growing team focused on defining, developing and scaling our international service business. The team works across the organisation to ensure customer value, commercial readiness and sustainable service growth in global markets. You can expect a collaborative environment where your input will help influence both the strategy and execution of digital services.

You bring: Structure, drive and a commercial mindset

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business Development Engineering, IT Communication and Organisation (ITKO), Technology-Based Business Development or a related field.

You have a strong ability to translate business needs into actionable commercial requirements. If you also bring experience from a similar role working with product development or services and offerings on digital products you will be one step ahead.

We are also looking for:

  • experience in developing business cases that include financial modelling, value assessment and strategic justification to support service design, pricing and go-to-market decisions
  • hands-on experience with financial tasks such as building pricing models and performing cost calculations
  • an understanding of digital product and service development, including hardware integration
  • excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • a structured, detail-oriented work style, particularly in documentation and cross-functional alignment.

Finally, familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum would be a plus.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
