Senior front-end developer with strong back-end skills and a passion for healthcare systems
Are you passionate about developing and delivering valuable software solutions that help improve the daily lives of our customers in the healthcare sector? Are you keen on working in a distributed team? Do you thrive in a work environment characterised by a high degree of autonomy and independence? Look no more!
The job
As our new colleague in development, you will work on project-specific development for our healthcare IT products. As a Senior Software Developer, your role will involve leading and developing features, outlining design concepts, writing documentation, diagnosing, and handling incidents. You will sustain and foster the development and growth of our team, leveraging your skills and experience to support and drive a strong, cohesive and performing group.
In short, you can look forward to:
- Feature development and feature leadership: You will actively participate in feature development, where you will guide and contribute to the development of new functionalities and improvements.
- Team collaboration and cross-team coordination: Collaborate effectively within a development team (Scrum-based) and seek clarifications in collaboration with Architects and across development teams to ensure an efficient and cohesive development process.
- Debugging and incident handling: Your role includes diagnosing and effectively resolving incidents and issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in maintaining system integrity.
- Knowledge sharing: You actively participate in sharing knowledge within the domain, supporting yourself/others in their learning and understanding of product functionality.
Joining the team
Joining as our new colleague, you will be part of our Columna Cura programme. Columna Cura is a SaaS solution that supports employees, patients and relatives throughout a citizen’s complete health journey. The product is operational, and has already been purchased and implemented by more than 38 Danish municipalities.
In your role as a Senior Software Developer, you will join one of our distributed teams with colleagues in Aarhus (Denmark), Warsaw (Poland) and in Lviv (Ukraine). We are working as Scrum teams consisting of 8–10 colleagues, comprising Software Developers with expertise in integrations, web, iOS and Android development, Software Tester(s), a Product Owner and a Scrum Master.
We value each other highly and have a strong focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing and building strong relationships in the team, including social sync meetings with fun online games.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a new colleague who holds at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar. Additionally, we are looking for someone with 3–5 years of experience as a Software Developer.
You have strong front-end capabilities, preferably with Angular as a framework. You know your way around the back end of large and complex systems with many APIs and some legacy which impacts system relations to the front end.
It would be a strong advantage if you have worked with Java as back-end language before – but other similar object-oriented languages and the will to learn Java can work too.
Although your primary focus is the front end, your mindset is full stack, and in your work you take a holistic view of the entire system.
Furthermore, it is not a requirement but an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience with the following tools:
· FHIR standards
· Web services SOAP, FTP, HTTP
· TeamCity, Bitbucket, Jira
· Android development
· Swift, Kotlin, Docker
· Scrum methodology
· AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
