Senior Test Engineer – exciting role developing the world’s best healthcare EMR

We want to create the world’s best electronic medical record (EMR). To accomplish this ambitious goal, we need seasoned and best-in-class test engineers – perhaps you?

Help shape quality from day one
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of test and quality assurance of our CIS product. This happens throughout the entire development phase and in close cooperation with your development team and with early test involvement.

Your key tasks will include:
•    creating test strategies and test designs for new features from requirements to system test
•    creating overall test strategies for cross-functional and complex test tasks
•    executing tests of new features and defect fixes according to the established test strategy
•    participating in system test phases
•    writing test documentation for e.g. regression testing and test results
•    analysing defects and contributing to quality assurance improvements
•    being one of the guardians of maintaining our high quality standards and our internal quality assurance processes.

As a senior profile, you will also mentor new colleagues and ask all the critical questions during the development process while understanding the assignment and ensuring close cooperation with all stakeholders e.g. Developers, Domain Advisers, Architects and Project Managers.

Join a skilled and supportive team
You will become part of a dedicated Scrum team working on Columna CIS – our EMR solution which is used in hospitals across Denmark. The system helps healthcare professionals manage clinical tasks such as medication, treatment notes and patient history, ensuring high-quality care and documentation.
Our team is distributed between Aarhus and Bucharest, and typically includes 8–10 Developers, 1–2 Testers, an Architect, a Domain Advisor and a Project Manager. You will collaborate closely with your team-mates and learn from experienced colleagues who are passionate about building reliable and user-friendly healthcare solutions.

Your profile
We envisage that you hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Healthcare technology (Sundhedsteknologi) or similar. In addition, you are a certified ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or have a TMAP certification.

You have minimum 5 years of professional experience in software testing as well as experience with complex software systems, preferably within healthcare.

You profile also includes:
•    extensive theoretical and practical experience with test design techniques
•    extensive experience creating test strategies for complex software solutions
•    deep expertise with both functional and non-functional testing
•    deep expertise in testing integrations
•    a sound knowledge of tools such as TestRail, Jira and Postman

To succeed in the role, you should recognise yourself in the following:
•    You have strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
•    You have strong analytical skills and an eye for details that others might overlook.
•    You communicate complex solutions clearly and collaborate effectively with Developers and team members in distributed Scrum teams.
•    You are proactive, responsible and results-oriented, balancing independence with teamwork.
•    You are skilled in both providing and accepting feedback.
•    You are curious with an ability to ask critical questions and speak out if quality is compromised.
•    You are structured in your approach and able to decompose complex solutions to smaller tasks.
•    You dare to challenge how we work and suggest ideas for improving processes or the technical set-up.
•    You have strong mentor skills and are able to train colleagues in testing methodologies, best practices and our quality processes.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here
