Join the product team Synergy and impact the future development of software

You will be part of the product team Synergy which falls under our Digital Transformation business unit. You will work out of our Aarhus based head office and join a team of 11 committed and experienced colleagues. Your colleagues are based both in Denmark and Poland creating a strong international culture, where we help each other across borders in the mission for quality-driven development.

The product team is responsible for improving and maintaining the product, Synergy, and ensuring new releases are shipped four times a year including new capabilities, bug fixes and other improvements. Synergy is deployed and running on several installations at customer sites and internally at Systematic. The infrastructure is built as a modern container orchestration solution with customised extensions which have been implemented using Java – however you will primarily work with Docker and Kubernetes. We use the latest technologies within microservices, public cloud, Docker containers and Kubernetes. The solution will host and expose popular Cloud Native components.

 

Play a key role in improving our future product

Working with Synergy you will impact and work with the future, innovative application-platform, which all Systematic projects are built on top of. You will explore the latest container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Native etc. The aim of solution is to establish a fundamental integration platform that ties up all ends. A platform which ensures an effective and stable IT infrastructure, and which fulfils all the basic non-functional requirements.

As a Senior Developer in Synergy, we see you as an important part of setting the technical direction for the future development including hands-on development and guiding your colleagues in technical matters. You will work with technical clarification and specifications of features, and you will support your colleagues in conducting code reviews and follow-up on features.

 

Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Installing and configuring applications in Kubernetes using Helm
  • Determining the current state of applications in Kubernetes by means of shell scripting
  • Applying/modifying Kubernetes resources by means of shell scripting
  • Building custom docker images
  • Istio service mesh configuration
  • Writing/modifying Helm chart templates
  • Writing Kubernetes extensions using the operator pattern
  • Troubleshooting and implementing functionality using various cloud native technologies and tools

This role is the perfect fit for a cloud enthusiast

To fit the role perfectly you have experience with Java or C#. If you are a cloud enthusiast there are a lot of opportunities to work with cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Harbor, Prometheus, Keycloak and microservices.

 

Our new colleague:

  • Is experienced within software development in cloud technologies
  • A MSc or BSc within a technical discipline
  • Is a strong communicator in English

 

We work with security classified projects and, as a Systematic employee, you must be able to obtain a security clearance.
