SitaWare Insight is a decision-support tool that revolutionizes data collection and management, empowering commanders at all levels with advanced data capture and analysis capabilities. Our mission is to simplify critical decision-making. By leveraging modern technologies like AI, we transform raw data into actionable insights, offering commanders easy access to essential information.
Currently, SitaWare Insight boasts a team of nearly 30 Systems Engineers, Architects, and Testers, divided into four SCRUM teams. We're expanding to meet growing customer demand. From a customer perspective, our goal is to streamline the aggregation of data from various sources, creating a unified, virtual view accessible through applications, dashboards, and portals—without requiring knowledge of the data’s storage location.
We’re committed to growing, enhancing, and maintaining this product to keep it the best on the market. New releases are delivered twice a year, introducing new features, bug fixes, and improvements.
The team is part of a product organization, which includes a project and people manager, a Product Manager who oversees the direction of product expansion, an Architect, 5-9 developers, and 1-2 testers.
Your role as a Senior Systems Engineer:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our team, taking ownership, providing leadership, and facilitating agile development to drive innovation and new functionality. What you can expect:
- Implement high quality software that makes a real difference for our customers
- Lead the agile software development and continuously improve how we work
- Write Initial Feature Description and Feature Requirement Specifications
- Develop and document code according to agile principles using Angular, Java, and other relevant technologies
- Run the full test cycle together with our dedicated testers to ensure high quality of our product
You shall expect some travelling to our office in Copenhagen ensuring strong collaboration across the cities.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a highly experienced software engineer with at least 8 years of experience and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in software development (Master’s preferred). You should have a strong background in both frontend and backend development, particularly with Angular and Java Spring Boot, and experience with modern cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
Key technologies include:
- Frontend: Angular 14 (TypeScript, SCSS)
- Backend: Java 17, Spring Boot
- Cloud and DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Helm
- Messaging and Databases: Kafka, PostgreSQL
- Tools: Gradle, Bazel, TeamCity, JIRA
We’re looking for a proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills who thrives in an international, diverse environment. You should be passionate about continuous learning, eager to stay updated with industry trends, and excited to grow your expertise in cloud-native technologies. Effective communication and a collaborative mindset are key to success in this role and fluent English skills is required (both oral and inwritten).
