Senior Systems Engineer – Cloud Operations

Do you get satisfaction from keeping critical systems healthy, solving complex problems before they escalate, and talking directly with the customers who depend on your work? Join us at the start of an exciting journey — protecting, maintaining, and optimising the cloud infrastructure that keeps offshore energy operations, and the people working in them, running safely.

The job
As a Senior Systems Engineer in our service team, you'll take ownership of the cloud-hosted environments that underpin our Rezilient product portfolio, starting with our SITE marine coordination software. This is not a purely development-focused role. It's a varied position that combines cloud operations, performance monitoring, stakeholder communication, and analytical problem-solving — the tasks are diverse, so we support each other along the way.

You'll monitor the performance, quality, security, and stability of our hosting environments, and proactively share findings and recommendations with developers, our internal Customer Operations team, and customers directly. You'll conduct analysis, investigate issues, and identify opportunities to optimise costs and processes — always with an eye on what's best for the customer.

In addition, some of your key tasks will be to:
•    Manage and optimise cloud hosting environments, ensuring reliability, security, and stability.
•    Monitor system performance and proactively communicate risks and improvement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
•    Investigate and resolve customer tickets as part of a 3rd line support rotation (during working hours)
•    Conduct analysis and cost optimisation across our hosting setup.
•    Support the development team with feature delivery and contribute to building a scalable service department for future growth.
•    Take ownership of customer change orders through clarification, estimation, and execution phases.

Joining the team
You'll join a small, collaborative service team of four based in Aarhus — experienced, customer-first, and genuinely supportive of one another. We work with some of the world's largest offshore wind companies, and our SITE software is critical to their daily operations. That sense of purpose runs through everything we do.

We're expanding our product portfolio beyond SITE, which means this is a moment to grow with us — shaping how our service function evolves and contributing your expertise at a point where it truly matters. We use AI as a partner in our daily work and welcome colleagues who are curious about how it can make us smarter and faster.

Your qualifications

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, combined with solid experience in a systems engineering or cloud operations role. Technically, we're looking for:
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud operations, or a comparable role
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, in particular Azure
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Wildfly, ISS Keycloak, Angular, MS SQL Server, and MySQL

Just as important as your technical background is the way you work. You bring a genuinely investigative mindset — curious, methodical, and energised by finding the root cause of a problem rather than just fixing the symptom. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, build trust with customers naturally, and know how to bring the right information to the right people at the right time. You spot when processes need improving and take steps to get it fixed. You are someone colleagues learn from — not through formal instruction, but simply through the way you approach your work. Experience using AI tools as part of your daily workflow is a benefit.

Fluent English is required. Travel is limited to approximately 5–10 days per year, with flexible planning.

Please note: You must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
