Senior frontend developer for SitaWare Mobile


Aarhus, Denmark


About the position


As a senior frontend developer, you will become a vital player in assuring deliveries of new product functionality to customers around the world. You will be joining our strategically important program, which delivers the next generation of SitaWare Mobile Products to customers within Defence around the globe. You will take part in designing and developing the next generation using the latest technologies such as Angular, Angular Material, Java and TypeScript running on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux and Android). You will be joining a growing team of app. 40 skilled developers, architects and UX’ers all working to deliver world class solutions. We expect you to be motivated to take the lead in our frontend development and assist the team in selecting and choosing the best way forward – we are ambitious, and we hope you are too.


Responsibility and tasks


Your everyday tasks will consist of:

  • Develop best in class frontend in TypeScript and Angular, design solutions, implement best practices and guide the teams in Frontend development
  • Potentially support full stack software applications, backend development in Java
  • Take the role as feature-lead in cross-functional teams, to lead and drive the implementation of new functionality and improvements
  • Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience engineers
  • Troubleshoot, optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase


Minimum qualifications


  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar
  • Bring 5+ years of experience as a developer
  • Have extensive experience with Angular and/or TypeScript and frontend development in general
  • Have solid experience in developing high quality software
  • Are experienced in developing large, complex solutions (large code base)
  • You are fluent in English


Preferred competencies


  • Some experience with java and back-end development
  • Bring experience with – or are interested in learning about – GIT, Gradle, TeamCity and Jira SonarQube but also Robot Framework, Bazel, Closure or something similar.?
  • Interest for modern processes/technologies like scrum, unit testing, automation, DevOps
  • You are known for showing initiative – not waiting for others to come to you but proactively making things happen on your own. Likewise, you are not afraid to speak your mind.
  • While you can work independently, you collaborate well and listen to and evaluate technical improvement input from your colleagues; they know they can come to you to raise their questions and concerns.

  • Place of work is in Aarhus, travel days very limited
