Senior Solution Architect
If you thrive at the intersection of technology, strategy and design then this is your chance to shape service offerings that deliver real impact. Our goal is to bridge the gap between a robust commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product and a seamless, plug-and-play experience – adding clarity, value and usability for our customers.
The job: Architecting services that enable mission success and customer value
As Senior Solution Architect, you will help customers achieve their desired outcomes through tailored service offerings. You will drive the implementation of our service strategy and business model, ensuring both commercial success and customer value.
Leveraging our products and global best practices, you will develop solutions to enhance customer capabilities across their organisations, processes, technology and competences. You will act as a trusted advisor and key enabler across our international constellations, inspiring and supporting local teams in guiding customers to strengthen their capabilities and realise the value of our solutions.
- Design service offerings for C4I capabilities that drive customer value and operational effectiveness
- Advise customers in designing and deploying our systems, ensuring solutions are aligned with their business and operational goals
- Participate in customer meetings to align strategies and define business and technical requirements for tailored service offerings
- Create and maintain roadmap items that guide the evolution and commercial success of our service offerings
- Advise and inspire our global constellations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across customer engagements
Additional responsibilities include adapting military delivery models and standards, developing service descriptions and supporting materials, and contributing to both pre-sales and post-sales activities.
For this role you should expect occasional business travel: 10–40 days a year, typically involving short trips lasting 2–4 days.
The team: Join our strategic Service Development team
You will report to the Head of Service Development and work out of our head office in Aarhus, Denmark. Service Development is a newly established team within Defence Services, primarily based in Aarhus and set to expand throughout 2025. The team brings together expertise in product portfolio management, solution architecture, military domain knowledge, system engineering and business analytics.
The team works strategically to define service concepts, develop business models and shape offerings in close collaboration with global stakeholders across Systematic. The team also engages broadly across the organisation to ensure alignment and drive success.
You bring: Strong architectural skills and the ability to engage and guide stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you have at least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect within IT systems, product development and bespoke integrations combined with a relevant technical bachelor’s or master’s degree. Strong expertise in requirements management, the deployment of complex IT solutions and enterprise or microservices architecture is essential. It will be a clear advantage if you have a military background or experience within the Defence domain.
We are also looking for:
- proven experience in managing requirements and deploying large-scale IT solutions, including cloud, containers and on-premises infrastructure
- a solid understanding of microservices and enterprise architecture principles
- a strong communicator with a talent for stakeholder engagement who thrives in dynamic environments and who is driven to advise and influence with impact
- a detail-oriented problem-solver with a structured, proactive and quality-focused work style
- experience in technical or end-user training to ensure effective knowledge transfer
- familiarity with military IT systems, networks or architecture frameworks (e.g. NAF, DoDAF, TOGAF) is a strong plus
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
