Senior Manager for SitaWare Headquarters Defence Communication Product
Do you have experience working as a People and Project Manager in a software company? Are you able to grow an already established high-performance team further? And can you thrive with the responsibility to influence the direction and quality of a product, making a significant difference for users worldwide? If so, we would love to hear from you!
The job
As a Senior Manager in our Defence Products department, you will be responsible for a high-performing team, ensuring that the team has the conditions they need to live up to their full potential, while consistently delivering on commitments, including full budget and schedule accountability with monthly progress reporting to senior management. You will be the one to create an environment where team members are motivated and grow through regular feedback, coaching and meaningful challenges, enabling each individual to continuously improve and contribute at their full potential.
As part of the SitaWare Headquarters (HQ) program management team, you coordinate across projects within the program to ensure that overall program objectives are met. In this role, you are also expected to continuously identify and implement improvements, both within the team and across the broader program. Occasionally, you also need to coordinate with other projects across the Product department to ensure Product Suite consistency.
Additionally, some of your key tasks:
- Together with the team, plan the next iteration, establish conditions for the team to fulfil the goals and ensure progress on reaching commitments.
- Empower and challenge employees to grow and reach their full potential in a dynamic and fun environment.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on expected results by the team.
- Follow up on progress and identify corrective actions to address deviations.
Joining the team
The SitaWare Headquarters Communication (SHC) team is one of six projects in our SitaWare Headquarters program, and consists of a manager (you), an architect, eight developers, two testers, and two junior developers. Many of the team members have worked together for several years and have strong technical abilities and a strong focus on task delivery. They ensure the right technical solution such that the manager can focus on ensuring other objectives, such as schedule adherence, are met. They specialise in working on the SHC functionality. They work primarily with backend technologies such as Java.
