Senior Manager for Infrastructure and Operations in IT

You will join a competent team with approximately 16 colleagues working to constantly develop and maintain our underlying IT support of business activities. Systematic is growing in terms of both our international presence and use of underlying technologies. The team is engaged in both large and small projects across our organization and is aiming to improve the area terms of encompassing new technologies, stability, security, global performance, and internal improvement.

Responsibility and tasks
It will be your overall responsibility to provide a cost effective, secure and solid foundation upon which all Systematic activities are based, and further to ensure that this base is continuously evolving to meet the needs of the business. The selected person will have overall responsibility for 3 areas, IT Operations, Engineering and the Service Desk.

 

Your everyday tasks will consist of:

  • Team and area leadership, where you lead a visible culture of continuous improvement based on teamwork
  • Communication and engagement with internal stakeholders, across the department and with vendors
  • Lead improvements in process, automation, technology adoption, skill development
  • Compliance with regulations, with licensing, with frameworks
  • Budget and value management, contributing to Systematics’ competitiveness in the marketplace
  • Daily performance management, to ensure a reliable IT foundation
  • Handle escalations, for example in case of critical incidents or project delays

 

Expected travel per year is 10-15 days. Travel will mostly be to our office in Bucharest.

 

Minimum qualifications

  • The ability to challenge status quo and lead change is a key requirement
  • You are passionate about the use of technology and how it can be applied to benefit and continually improve the business
  • You have completed an education within IT
  • You have at least 5 years of experience from an infrastructure and operations management position, where you have gained knowledge about cloud environments and worked with the ITIL framework
  • You are fluent in English (both writing and speaking)

Preferred qualifications

  • You have a degree within IT and at least 7 years of experience working with infrastructure and operations management from a costumer facing position in a software company
  • Experience with compliance frameworks, licensing, CMMI (or similar), TOGAF and project management (e.g. Prince2) is an advantage, as is experience within global infrastructure and operating a service desk.

  • The position is located at our office in Aarhus and is part of a team split between Aarhus and Bucharest
