The job
Joining as a Senior Software Developer, your key focus will be on MLOps (Machine Learning Operations), which means to bridge the gap between data science and operations, ensuring smooth deployment, monitoring, and management of machine learning models in our production environments.
In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:
- Helping defining and structuring Python infrastructure code and dependency handling
- Develop infrastructure software to integrate the machine learning models into SitaWare Insight
- Build the infrastructure set-up and deployment pipelines in a highly complex environment
- Build automated test frameworks
- Design for scalability
- Implement performance monitoring and security measures
- Work closely with data scientists, testers, and system architects on new features and solutions
In this team, our everyday consists of a variety of technologies and frameworks, where the most prominent you can expect to work with, are:
- Python and Java
- Docker on Kubernetes with Istio and Helm,
- Kafka, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Prometheus and Grafana,
- Gradle and Bazel,
- A bit of Linux and Bash scripting,
- And tools like TeamCity, Bitbucket and JIRA.
Joining the team
Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies, SitaWare Insight automates the processing and analysis of complex, multi-source data. This empowers military commanders to rapidly detect patterns, identify emerging threats, and anticipate operational trends, thereby improving situational awareness and operational tempo. SitaWare Insight is a modern microservice-based solution of primarily Angular and Java Spring Boot services. A variety of Cloud Native components are used for supporting the environment, as it must be deployable to on-prem, private and public clouds. As a product line, we have the responsibility to grow, improve and maintain this product to continue being the best product on the market. New releases are shipped every half year including new capabilities, bug fixes and other improvements.
Joining SitaWare Insight, you will be joining a team with colleagues covering roles in project and people management, product management, software architecture, software development (including MLOps and data science) and system testing. All of your new colleagues are located together in our office in Aarhus.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a well-rounded Software Developer with a theoretical foundation from a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science or similar, and some years of experience working with software engineering.
We do expect the successful candidate to have experience with
- Python or similar used for data science models,
- Backend development in Java, Spring Boot or similar,
- Docker and Kubernetes,
- Microservice architecture, cloud-native design patterns, and cloud architecture,
- SQL and NoSQL databases,
- And to be fluent in English, both verbal and in writing.
