Are you ready to work at the interface between law and commerce in a growing international software company? As Legal Counsel at Systematic, you will support our National Security & Infrastructure as well as our Healthcare business units with complex IT contracts, enabling both standard and customized sales while ensuring we take the right contractual and commercial risks. Our solutions protect critical national infrastructure, support the green energy transition, and improve healthcare delivery – work that contributes to something larger than ourselves.

The job
You will join our Legal & Compliance team at the heart of the organization, working closely with stakeholders across different business units. Your primary focus will be IT contracts in national and international contexts, supporting the business from tender stage through contract negotiation to delivery and dispute handling when needed.

You can expect varied and challenging work where you draft, review and negotiate IT contracts and other agreements, identify risks and solutions in tender material working closely with the business, and support internal stakeholders throughout the full contract lifecycle. You will also help develop new business areas by working on the legal conceptualization of these opportunities.

Beyond day-to-day contract work, you will contribute to improving legal compliance areas such as intellectual property rights, open-source licensing and trademarks, while drafting and maintaining standard terms and contract templates.

You will become part of a strong professional environment with 16 colleagues, including 13 legal professionals including attorneys-at-law, jurists and law students. The team is primarily based in Aarhus, with representation in London, Cologne and Bucharest. We value your opinions and insights, and you will work closely with the business to find sustainable solutions that balance legal rigour with commercial reality. We do not operate in an ivory tower; we work closely with the business and highly value our strong, collaborative partnership.

Your qualifications
•    An educational background within Law
•    +4 years of experience working with commercial contracts, ideally IT contracts or alternatively other complex construction, renewables or project contracts
•    Experience from a law firm or larger international company
•    Strong drive and persistence with a high level of professionalism
•    Ability to communicate complex legal matters in simple form regardless of the recipient's background
•    Good technical understanding or ambition to learn about software
•    Curiosity about new technologies, particularly how AI can be leveraged in legal work
•    Experience with public procurement law or trademark management is a plus
•    Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken is essential.
