Senior Implementation Consultant – SitaWare Battlefield Health
Do you have deep clinical expertise and a desire to see it shape a technology that saves lives? As a Senior Implementation Consultant at Systematic, you'll translate your knowledge of healthcare workflows into a defence medical information system that follows an injured soldier from the point of injury all the way to recovery — and leave your mark on a product built from the ground up.
The job
SitaWare Battlefield Health is one of Systematics highest-priority products, combining our battle-proven C4ISR platform with proven healthcare solutions into a unified defence medical information system. At the heart of the role is a practical challenge: using your clinical background to help configure the right medical forms and workflows into our open-source foundation, ensuring that the solution reflects how care is actually delivered in the field.
You'll be part of the full implementation cycle — from the initial analysis of clinical workflows through to go-live and post-implementation review. In short, you can look forward to:
• Translating clinical workflows from deployed hospital settings into tailored OpenMRS configurations, ensuring our open-source EMR solution supports clinicians effectively in the field.
• Supporting the full implementation process, from requirements gathering and system configuration
• Advising on clinical best practice and ensuring solutions comply with regulatory and organisational requirements
• Collaborating with the Product Owner and Software Developers to make sure the final product is both medically sound and technically feasible.
Joining the team
Battlefield Health sits at a unique intersection — it is the only product in the world combining Systematics 30+ years of defence expertise with its proven healthcare technology to manage patient tracking and flow from the point of incident to repatriation.

You'll join a cross-functional team of 7–10 people distributed between Aarhus and Bucharest, working alongside developers, a tester, an architect, a domain advisor, a co-implementation consultant and a project manager. It's a team where your clinical opinion shapes the product directly — and where you can see the impact of your input on something that genuinely matters.
Your qualifications
• Master's degree or equivalent in a healthcare or clinical discipline
• 3–5 years of hands-on clinical experience, ideally across more than one specialty
• Experience working at the intersection of healthcare and technology, whether in innovation, digital health, or software-adjacent roles
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in software development or implementation projects
• Fluent English and Danish, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to approximately 10 days per year)
• Knowledge of Clinical/Medical codes (SNOMED, LOINC, etc.).
You are comfortable adapting when requirements shift, able to turn complex clinical challenges into achievable goals, and naturally detail-oriented when it comes to systems and processes.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security-classified projects. Read more: https://systematic.com/int/careers/security-clearance/
