The position
At Systematic, we’re expanding our Defence Aspire team and are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join us and take an important role in working with our product SitaWare Aspire – our next-generation training platform designed for modern Defence operations.
Joining us as our new Senior Full Stack Developer, you will take ownership of complex feature development and work closely with Architects to shape technical solutions and influence architectural direction. You will have a great opportunity to make your mark on the product and influence how the team operates.
In short, your key tasks will be:
- An active role in decision-making, development, and implementation of new custom-requested functionalities or features
- Drive code quality and technical excellence through code reviews, inspections, and active knowledge sharing across teams
- Optimize our build/deployment pipeline, increasing liability, automation, and deployment efficiency
- Design and build cloud-native services in Azure, leveraging platform capabilities to create scalable and maintainable solutions
- Define and evolve development best practices, collaborating with the team to identify and implement optimal technical solutions
- This is a true full-stack role with a primary focus on backend and cloud services, combined with frontend development where it creates the most value for the end user and overall training experience

Your qualifications
Beyond technical skills, we value collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and ownership. You enjoy mentoring others, contributing to a strong team culture, and understand that great products are build by strong teams.
How we picture your experience:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree within Software Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of professional experience as a software developer
- Java/Kotlin and Spring - C# can also be relevant
- Building, deploying, and maintaining production systems
- Azure or other cloud provider platforms
Furthermore, experience with DevOps, building and deploying services, relational databases and Keycloak as well as deployment automation is beneficial.
