Senior Finance Manager for Group Accounts & Tax

Aarhus, Denmark.

Looking for a role where you can make a difference with your keen eye for financial reporting and data? Are you motivated by taking responsibility, and do you see yourself as a specialist manager? If so, we have the perfect job for you!

A growing department with high organisational impact

You will become part of our growing finance department, which today consists of 25+ skilled employees. The department is staffed by colleagues in both Denmark and Romania, who form the basis for a strong international culture where we help each other across locations, with a vision of ensuring a strong financial basis for development. In collaboration with your two/three colleagues in Group Accounts & Tax, you will be responsible for closing our monthly and annual accounts and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting legislation. Group Accounts & Tax has interfaces throughout the organisation, and you will therefore work with stakeholders across the broad finance organisation and our customer-facing business.

A job with opportunities to drive change

You will have daily responsibility for accounting, tax, financial control and reporting across countries and companies. Responsibility is shared with your two/three colleagues, for whom you will be their primary expert sparring partner, as well as a number of foreign external accounting agencies. In addition, you will own our Finance Manual, Chart of Accounts as well as a number of system solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). In this context, you will work with process and system optimisation to ensure complete utilisation of our newly implemented ERP system, Microsoft D365, for the transformation and further development of current processes.

You guarantee our financial data

Your working day will involve operational tasks as well as the development and implementation of new work processes, and it is important that you are motivated by both types of work. You can expect a dynamic and varied working day, where you will be responsible for:

  • Structuring the month-end closing process as well as establishing structured and risk-based controlling of balance sheet positions.
  • Our consolidated annual report, including consolidation, planning and coordinating the external audit.
  • Annual reports for the group’s companies as well as tax calculations, tax returns and VAT returns.
  • Transfer pricing policies and documentation.
  • Preparation of a new Finance Manual.
  • Directing foreign external accounting agencies that handle bookkeeping and/or reporting for foreign companies.
  • Optimising financial dimensions and structures in D365 with a view to facilitating financial reporting and controlling.
  • Various ad hoc tasks and reporting to the authorities.

What do you bring to the table?

To be successful in the role, you must ensure compliance with relevant rules and deadlines in relation to financial reporting and tax, and supply the figures that measure internal performance and make it possible for the business to make the right decisions. It is therefore important that you have a strong accounting tool kit and a good understanding of internal financial management. You are keen to step into the role as a professional team manager and assume responsibility for us being able to close our annual accounts every year. In addition, you:

  • Have a strong financial background – preferably from the auditing industry and/or a large B2B company, as well as knowledge of tax and tax return rules.
  • Are ambitious with a natural curiosity to acquire new skills and knowledge.
  • Have an interest in and flair for workflow automation via RPA or similar.
