Seasoned product owner and domain expert for the healthcare area
Help shape our electronic health record (HER) solution that supports better patient care and clinical workflows. This role offers the chance to work where healthcare, technology and business meet – together with a skilled and dedicated team of course!
Bridge domain knowledge and product development
As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in providing domain-specific knowledge to support the development of new features and functions. You will work closely with the Solution Architect, User Interface Designer and the development team to ensure that solutions align with the overall product vision. With your healthcare expertise, you will contribute with valuable insights that support well-informed product decisions and help create a clear and prioritised development backlog. You will also take an active role in the early scoping and refinement process to ensure that new functionality meets product requirements, while balancing customer needs, cost and delivery timelines.
More specifically you will:
• own and manage the product backlog, including refinement, estimation and prioritisation together with the stakeholders
• support the development team backlog together with the Team Architect and Project Manager, including refinement, estimation and prioritisation
• prepare and lead meetings and workshops with customers and end-users, documenting key outcomes
• translate customer needs into clear requirements and outline solution descriptions that meet the customer’s needs and align with our software solution and strategy
• collaborate closely with Developers, Architects and stakeholders to guide feature development
• take part in sales presentation and tender work
• assist with customer support by resolving issues and sharing domain expertise across teams
Work with experts to build meaningful healthcare solutions
You will be part of Columna CIS in our Healthcare business unit. The team is responsible for developing, maintaining and improving our EHR solution – a core product that helps clinicians deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred care. Our goal is to support the digital transformation of healthcare by creating software that is intuitive, secure and built to perform in complex clinical settings.
You will join a team of Solution Architects and domain advisors who combine clinical insight with technical expertise. Our development organisation is made up of five dedicated scrum development teams, each responsible for a specific part of the CIS solution. Working closely with these teams, you will help develop new features and ensure the solution continues to meet the needs of users through ongoing maintenance and improvements.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate with both clinical understanding and technical insight. Ideally, you have a solid clinical background combined with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
You have 3–5 years of experience in healthcare IT development, product management or product ownership, and practical experience from working in an agile environment –preferably scrum.
Fluency in Danish and English – both written and spoken – is required for this role.
It is a plus if you:
• are a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or have a similar agile certification
• are familiar with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR or MedCom
• have a basic understanding of software development processes and technologies
• are interested in how AI can improve healthcare
As a person you are outgoing, you drive the agenda, take the initiative and you are excellent at handling both internal and external stakeholders.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
