Senior Business Intelligence developer – develop dashboards to improve company efficiency

The job

As a Senior BI Developer, you'll simplify complex data into visual and meaningful insights that enable our Finance colleagues and business managers to be data-driven in their day-to-day work. You'll be the first point of contact for stakeholders' reporting and dashboarding needs.

In short, you can look forward to:

• Translating business needs into data requirements,
• To design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations,
• To collaborate with data engineers on optimal data models,
• To engage and challenge stakeholders to drive better insights, and coach users to enable self-service analysis,
• To optimize reporting logic for performance, ensure data accuracy and consistency, and identify opportunities to improve processes through automation.

Joining the team

As our new Senior BI Developer, you will join our Business Intelligence team at Systematic in Aarhus. The team works very collaboratively and are quite passionate about data and insights, some might even call them nerdy. It’s a team consisting of two other BI developers, Data engineers, a data architect, two student workers and a manager. It’s a team who is constantly challenged to build new data solutions as our portfolio expands across business areas, so we are never bored.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a new colleague with 5 or more years of experience in a similar role who is a collaborative partner, proactive and comfortable working independently. You hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Business Intelligence, or a related field.

Moreover, we envisage that you:

• Are an advanced Power BI user with experience driving enterprise reporting transformations through design thinking and user-centred approaches.
• Have strong SQL skills with clean, performance-optimized queries and ability to optimize reporting logic for performance.
• Are experience with data preparation, exploratory analysis, and creating reusable data models and semantic layers.
• Have the ability to translate business requirements into insights and dashboards.
• Bring experience ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and applying appropriate security controls.
• Are excellent at stakeholder engagement, task prioritization, and documentation practices with attention to detail.
• Have a solid understanding of BI concepts, cloud technologies, data governance, and visualization.
• Are fluent in English, as it is our corporate language and used daily in conversations with colleagues worldwide.
