The job

Joining us, you your key purpose is to work on backend development and directly contribute to the advancement of our product, SitaWare Insight. This involves bridging the gap on AI-driven solutions, between our data science and software operations, ensuring the smooth deployment, monitoring, and management of production environments.

In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

• Develop infrastructure software to integrate the software components in SitaWare Insight,
• Be a feature lead on new functionalities,
• Build infrastructure setup and deployment piles,
• Build automated test framework ,
• Design for scalability,
• Implement performance monitoring and security measures,
• Develop and document according to agile principles,
• And being part of a platform team helping internal teams and customers during installation and deployment of our service.

Joining the team

SitaWare Insight is a decision-support tool that transforms data collection and management, providing commanders on various level with advanced data capture and analysis capabilities. The mission is to simplify critical decision making. The goal of our product is to support the process of aggregating data from various sources of information (being other systems), to develop a single, logical, and virtual view of information so that it can be accessed by front-end solutions such as applications, dashboards, and portals without having to know the data's exact storage location.

Joining SitaWare Insight, you will be part of a department with close to 45 Systems Engineers, Architects and Test Engineers working in 5 SCRUM teams, and we are growing to meet the demand from our customers. Your team specifically comprise a People and Project Manager, A Product Manager, A Lead Architect, 5 developers and an experienced Systems Tester.

New releases are shipped every half year including new capabilities, bug fixes and other improvements. Modern technologies like AI are used to transform data into information, providing commanders with advanced data capture and analysis capabilities. 

Your qualifications

We are looking for you, if you:

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar,
• Bring five or more years of experience working in backend software development or engineering,
• Have experience with primarily Java, Docker, Kubernetes and Microservices,
• And have excellent communication skills in professional English.

If you bring competencies with one or more of the following technologies and frameworks, it is a benefit for you, but not a necessity:

• Java 21 microservices using Spring Boot,
• Docker on Kubernetes with Istio and Helm,
• Kafka, Cassandra, Gradle and Bazel,
• Azure, PostgreSQL, Prometheus or Grafana,
• Linux and Bash scripting,
• TeamCity, Bitbucket and JIRA.
