Project Manager for Service Product Management


Denmark, Aarhus.

About the position


You will be part of a small, newly established, and dynamic team dedicated to defining and creating standardized services. The team currently consists of a Lead Architect, a UX Designer and a Domain Expert. The team works to develop new, professional services for our global customers within the defence industry. As the Project Manager, you will have an impact on the direction of our solutions, and you will be able to co-create with highly skilled, professional colleagues. It is a new position, and you will, therefore, refer to the Director of Service Product Management in the Defence business unit.

Currently the team are developing a product portfolio consisting of services supporting the training of our defence customers. The first training product is to be released within 2021.

The success criteria of this position entail a successful launch of the first training services within 6-9 months, the creation of a roadmap for the entire product portfolio and activities supporting the promotion and commercial launch of the product portfolio.


Responsibilities and tasks


You will have the overall responsibility of ensuring successful development of standardized services, focusing on the launch of the new training service. You will be working closely with the Product Management team and having an active role in our Business Owner Teams, created to align product development with product management. The position can be a springboard for exiting career opportunities both in terms of responsibility and personal development.


Your everyday tasks will consist of:

  • Planning, tracking, delivering and reporting on progress
  • Being a member of the ‘Business Owner Team’ that determines the product roadmap
  • Ensuring alignment of scope, schedules, and costs
  • Leading the collaboration with the delivery team in software development
  • Creating a roadmap based on current and future customer needs and market trends
  • People management with particular focus on wellbeing, motivation and development
  • Contribution to team recruitment and retainment
  • Taking part in external customer events focused on promoting the services developed


Preferred skills


  • A relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Qualifications comparable to PMI/PMP, Prince2 or IPMA (C)
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • You will be motivated by contributing to a strategically prioritised business unit and be expected to make an impact.
  • You are known for being visionary and ambitious, with the ability to think extensively, work hands-on and engage at an operational level
  • If you have an evolved awareness of professional IT services, including e-learning concepts, it will be an advantage


Minimum qualifications


  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or similar
  • Solid knowledge of driving development projects
  • Experience with delivering professional services
  • Some experience with the product management discipline
  • You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.

Practical information


  • A limited amount of travel days of about 15-25 days per year and full planning flexibility.
