Project Manager for training content development
This role offers you a unique chance to oversee training content development projects while leading a high-impact team of digital experts dedicated to enhancing our training content and taking it to the next level.
Join Defence Service Product Development, enhance our training content and empower end-user excellence.
Established just a couple of years ago, we have already built a committed team of 20+ professionals operating in both Aarhus and Bucharest.
Service Product Development is divided into two teams: one focusing on building and developing our training tool Aspire, and one focusing on building and developing training content. As both go hand in hand, close cooperation and knowledge sharing is crucial between the two teams.
Our service product SitaWare Aspire is a digital training platform which has been developed and designed to provide realistic, hands-on training for users of the SitaWare suite, a command-and-control (C2) software solution used in defence environments. This platform integrates the actual SitaWare application into the training environment, allowing users to engage in practical exercises with the same interface they would use in real operations.
Lead a high-impact team of digital experts while innovating our training content and applying your leadership skills.
As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the training content projects as well as for people leadership and line management of the team.
You will lead a talented and professional team dedicated to enhancing training content for our end-users. With experts in video creation, content design and defence training, you will be surrounded by expertise to elevate our training content to the next level.
You will directly manage five core team members while being supported by an additional 5-8 Experienced Customer Trainers who collaborate on content development as needed. Together, you will drive innovation and excellence in training, empowering our users with the best possible learning experience.
In addition, you will also...
- oversee the development process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, coordinating between different team members and managing timelines and deliverables
- plan, track and report on project progress, providing transparency and accountability
- be part of setting the direction and leading the development
- drive the collaboration with the delivery team in software development
- contribute to proposal writing, estimates and feature description.
Finally, you will also play an active and central role in the Service Products leadership team.
The position involves a limited amount of travel, about 15-25 days a year, with full planning flexibility.
Project management, leadership and communication
Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to lead high-performance teams while managing training content development projects to ensure consistent quarterly software releases. To achieve this, we expect you to bring strong leadership and organisational skills combined with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to drive team success and ensure project excellence.
Additionally, we are also looking for:
- experience in people management – you empower colleagues to excel through a relationship-based leadership style
- experience within managing digital training content and/or software development; this will be a clear advantage
- expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
- a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline e.g. the technical sciences
- a high degree of proficiency in English, both orally and in writing.
This role is good fit for a Project Manager who thrives with both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, evolving the existing training framework while also immersing themselves in the details to ensure successful implementation.
