Project manager for BI & Data Science

Do you know about BI and data platform solutions, IoT and AI projects? Are you innovative, with the drive to plan and execute high-level projects while at the same time passionately managing and motivating your team? If so, we have the job for you.

You will drive our BI and data platform solutions
Systematic is experiencing strong growth in its data-related business and being able to deliver data-based solutions is a vital part of our software products. We primarily work with large BI and data platform solutions, IoT solutions and AI projects within our core areas: Healthcare, Libraries & Learning, Renewables & Utilities as well as Defence. Our vision is to use data to develop innovative solutions that provide management information and decision-making support, automation, intelligence control and optimization, and thus deliver cutting-edge software to customers and society alike.

As a Project Manager in our BI and data science team, you are responsible for project managing several data-related projects of varying sizes and complexity. You drive the project and ensure that the right solutions are delivered to our customers based on the department’s skilled employees and customer collaboration. With management responsibility for a team of highly skilled and committed employees, you decide the conditions to ensure that your team thrives and maintains a high level of performance. In other words, you are involved with all aspects of project management, with ongoing customer dialogue to scope the project, drive developments and ensure delivery. In addition, new ideas and projects are constantly being developed for which you, as Project Manager, will facilitate development processes in the department, but also across Systematic, and thereby innovate the way in which we develop data-based projects.

More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for clarifying deliveries of data-based projects and ensure that we achieve our project goals with respect to timing, budget and quality.
  • Manage the team members.
  • Prepare time and staffing schedules for the projects.
  • Conclude agreements with customers and subcontractors.
  • Establish and manage the projects in Systematic’s systems and in accordance with Systematic’s quality processes.
  • Help to drive development processes within BI and AI.
  • Ensure that expectations are matched with as well as ongoing communication to both internal and external stakeholders.

You should expect 1-2 trips a year to our offices in Bucharest. In addition, there will be a few days of driving in Denmark.

Be inspired in a dynamic IT company
You will be based at our headquarters in Aarhus, where you will be part of a strong team covering business intelligence, IoT and data science for all of Systematic and Systematic’s customers. We are constantly challenging and developing each other and discussing our processes and solutions while looking at how we can develop software in even smarter ways. We have several different profiles in the department with whom you can always discuss matters. In addition, there is plenty of know-how to be found within the building. Our department has been growing strongly the past couple of years, and you will be in the company of some energetic and skilled profiles. We have an inspiring culture, where you really get the opportunity to show and develop your skills, teach others, and bring out the best in your colleagues. You can look forward to an exciting working day, and to using the latest technologies to make a difference together with world-class colleagues. We are open to experimenting with new ideas – and if you fancy a game of table football, you will always find someone to pitch yourself against.

You understand data and project management
We envisage that you have several years of experience at working with BI, data platforms or other data-based projects. You might also have worked with the development of machine learning-based software. Most important for us is that you have a strong understanding of data, can run projects, and can lead a team.

Extensive project management or staff management experience is not paramount, but it is an advantage if you have management ambitions.

You thrive when running multiple projects in parallel. You are outgoing, communicative and eager to learn, as you need to be able to quickly familiarize yourself with new domains and in Systematic’s project-management tools and processes.

Finally, we would hope that you:

  • Take pride in managing your projects
  • Are customer-oriented
  • Think innovatively and can run explorative projects
  • Are able to work with tight deadlines
  • Are a team player with a high level of integrity who contributes to the team’s development
  • Are keen to work with or have experience at working with staff management.

In addition, we expect you to be fluent in written and spoken Danish and English.

We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: http://systematic.com/clearance.
