Program Manager - Cicero Product Engineering

The job
Our Library Business delivers our professional software solution – Cicero - for public and school libraries across the Nordics and Germany with further expansion in the horizon. In the role as Program Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that Cicero Product Development delivers the right solutions with the agreed quality, time, and cost. You will drive structured planning, KPI-based decision-making, and alignment across an internationally distributed organisation while strengthening Systematic's commitment to process excellence and continuous improvement in our development process.
In short, you can look forward to:
• Leading end-to-end Cicero Product Engineering across specification, development, release, and maintenance
• Managing and developing project managers and adhering teams, ensuring their ongoing growth and well-being – approx 30 employee’s total
• Building and sustaining a high-performance culture rooted in trust and professionalism
• Lead PI-planning and ensure cross-team alignment and dependency management
• Drive KPI-based governance, including delivery predictability, backlog health, team satisfaction, and defect trends
Joining the team
You will become part of Cicero Product Engineering, consisting of cross-functional, distributed agile teams across Aarhus, Copenhagen, and Romania. Teams collaborate within SAFe and Systematic's CMMI- and ISO-certified process frameworks. Besides heading the Product Engineering Team you will be part of the Library Management-group and work closely with both the Library Services & Implementation Department and our Product Management-team, who are responsible for our product roadmap.
Your qualifications and experience
To succeed in this role, you bring strong experience in leading and developing software products in well-structured organisations - and preferably for an international customer base. You excel at people leadership and stakeholder management across all levels of the business. You are passionate about developing ways of working and delivering exceptional value to our customers – and see AI as an enabler to do so.
We are also looking for:
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role - and a background/education in software development
• Proven people leadership experience, including development of employees
• Experience with agile frameworks such as SAFe and/or PI Planning and cross-team facilitation
• Experience with KPIs, burn-down charts, and performance reporting
