People & QA Project Manager

The job
You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality products by defining and supporting test activities across project teams. You will lead planning, reporting and improvements – driving progress and structure within the programme.
You will also be a people manager and lead a team of Test Manager and Testers – developing their skills, ensuring the right competencies and fostering a motivated, high-performing team. You will also drive QA initiatives and process improvements, shaping the path forward for testing within the programme.


In addition to this, you will be part of the QA programme’s management team, contributing to strategic decisions and helping guide the programme toward success.


In short, you can look forward to:
-    driving and developing the test framework and test strategies to ensure product quality and scalability
-    leading and growing a dedicated testing team – fostering motivation, building capabilities and supporting professional development
-    overseeing the planning and execution of system tests to validate end-to-end functionality
-    creating a clear roadmap for continuous test improvements in close collaboration with our QA Programme team 
-    working closely with key stakeholders including the Program Manager, Project Managers and Architects to ensure alignment and quality throughout the development and delivery process.

You should expect up to 5–10 travel days a year visiting colleagues at our offices in Bucharest or Copenhagen.

 

Joining the team
You will become part of a product programme with development teams across Aarhus, Copenhagen and Bucharest, working together to bring direction and structure to testing activities. You will play a key part in ensuring high-quality outcomes through strong collaboration and clear test management.


By joining Defence QA Management, you will also enter a unique community of more than 40 Testers and Test Managers – a strong network where you can share knowledge, learn from experienced colleagues and grow your expertise. You will report directly to the Program Manager for Defence QA Management.

 

Your qualifications and experience 
To succeed in this role, you bring 3+ years of experience within quality assurance or test management, giving you a strong foundation in structured testing and quality delivery. In addition, you bring 3+ years of experience in project and people leadership, where you have successfully motivated teams, ensured progress and delivered results through clear direction and collaboration.


We are also looking for:  
-    as a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical or scientific degree
-    proven experience managing product development teams incl. test teams and delivering successful software projects
-    a strong track record of building quality into software products from concept to release
-    a solid understanding of software development, testing and release processes
-    fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
