You will become part of a dynamic and growing company where close collaboration with colleagues is key to making a difference together with world-class software.

Tasks and responsibilities
As a Junior Software Developer at Systematic, you can expect to learn a lot while applying what you have learned so far in your study programme. In addition to that, some of your key tasks will include:

  • being co-responsible for certain parts of the software development as well as customer support.
  • working with prototypes and innovation, including the development of new functionalities.

With time, there will also be scope for taking on more complex tasks as your skills and capabilities improve and grow.

The position will involve 10-15 hours of work a week, and we are, of course, flexible in relation to your studies. However, when we are busy, we may need you to work longer hours.

Are you the person we are looking for?
We are looking for a new colleague who are passionate about using and developing your technological skills and are currently studying for an MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar; ideally, you have one year left of your studies. At the same time, we envisage that:

  • You are good at cooperating and have a good technical understanding
  • You are ambitious and a strong team player
  • The quality of your work drives you, and you make a point of understanding complex solutions and the challenges the customer faces
  • You are fluent in English, as it is our corporate language and used daily in conversations with colleagues worldwide

You should also be interested in working with a wide range of technological solutions and methods – it would be an advantage if you are well-versed in some of the following technologies:

  • The development of web-based and scalable solutions in primarily Java and C#, as well as a wide range of web technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Angular and Scala)
  • SQL (MSSQL, MySQL), Powershell, Linux, Visual Studio, .NET, API, JSON and Docker

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
