Internship - PR, Communication & SoMe

Are you a skilled communicator interested in SoMe and copywriting and looking for wide-ranging practical communication experience with an international company? Then don’t miss this opportunity to develop your skills in an exciting and educational internship at Systematic in Aarhus.

Expected start: August 2026 - with the opportunity to join us as a student worker already from June 2026

The internship

As an intern in our marketing and communications department you will gain hands-on experience in communications across six business areas in a growing international IT company. Your work will essentially involve brand support for Systematic. You are not expected to possess in-depth knowledge of software development, but you must be willing to test your skills in various communication disciplines, for example by planning and preparing texts and possibly photographs for social media, by conducting research and by writing press releases and website texts.

Your main tasks will involve:

  • developing ideas and communicating positive stories about Systematic
  • writing press releases, pitches and newsletters
  • planning and producing content for our SoMe platforms
  • drafting news items, blog posts and other website content
  • contributing to various projects, events and strategic tasks that land in the department

Join our team

You will join a team of 11 skilled and helpful colleagues who, among other things, work with Systematic’s internal and external communication and the business’ digital presence and sales. You will be in contact with people throughout the organisation and you will work closely with our PR & Communication Manager and the rest of the marketing and communications team.

Who we are looking for

We envisage that you are currently studying for a BSc or MSc within communication, marketing, IT or similar and have a genuine interest in communications. At the same time, we also envisage that you:

  • you are a skilled communicator and always have your target audience in mind when producing content, just as you manage to target your message to the relevant media or platform
  • as a person you are curious and not afraid to embrace new tasks
  • you enjoy talking to people and conducting interviews
  • you have the ability to make complex material simple and interesting.
  • it is important that you enjoy writing – and that you are good at it.
  • it is crucial that you master written and spoken Danish and English at a high level.

The internship is a full-time position lasting a semester, commencing in August 2026. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a Danish study program and be based in Denmark during the internship period. The position is unpaid; however, if permitted by your academic programme, you will receive a monthly token of appreciation during your internship.

It is possible that you can start as a student worker from 1 June and then start your internship from August/September.

Life as an Intern

Interns are valued members of our teams. From day one, you will be assigned a dedicated tutor or mentor who will guide your development and provide ongoing support. You will work alongside experienced colleagues eager to share their knowledge, while being entrusted with real responsibility early in your journey. We believe in delivering high-quality solutions while maintaining a positive work environment – whether through shared laughter over coffee, engaging discussions, or meaningful connections with colleagues. Beyond your immediate team, you will join our intern network, where you can build relationships and participate in social events with other interns across the organization.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
