More than just an internship
As a Data Scientist intern, you will join our SitaWare Insight team which is part of our Defence business unit. SitaWare Insight is a decision-support tool that transforms data collection and management, providing commanders at various levels with advanced data capture and analysis capabilities. The mission for the program is to simplify critical decision-making. Modern technologies like AI are used to transform data into information, providing commanders with advanced data capture and analysis capabilities.
As an intern, you will play a vital role in the team, contribute to the advancement of modern technologies and be treated on a par with the other employees. Moreover, you will become an integrated part of a team from day one, receiving the professional sparring and feedback you need to succeed.
Freedom with responsibilities
Our new intern will get to make a real difference working with high-quality software, while you will have every opportunity to apply what you have learnt so far on your study programme. In addition, some of your daily tasks include contributing to daily advancements and developing and documenting code according to agile principles while using Python and other relevant technologies.
In so far as possible, you will be able to plan your own tasks as we strive to create the right balance between your personal wishes, your formal study requirements and our expectations.
You are our new intern
… if you are studying for a BSc or MSc in Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Engineering or similar. And if you work systematically, are motivated by the quality of your work and always maintain a focus on the details.
Throughout your internship, the focus will be on developing your competencies, which we envisage are as follows:
- You take an interest in, are knowledgeable about or have experience with LLMs and natural language processing methods.
- You possess experience at developing or implementing machine learning models.
- You are proficient with Python and popular ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Transformers or TensorFlow.
- You are proficient in data preprocessing and feature engineering.
- You understand data handling, model evaluation, the visualisation of data-driven solutions and the development of best practices.
- You speak and write English fluently as it is our corporate language. It is also an advantage if you can speak Danish, but this is not a requirement.
Practical information
- The internship lasts five months, starting 3 February 2025.
- The internship is a full-time position.
