Internship: Business intelligence

Aarhus, Denmark.

More than just a job – you’ll be helping to make a difference

We are making good progress at establishing a BI team that collaborates on the design, development, implementation and optimisation of BI solutions for our software products. The huge demand for BI and data-driven solutions from our customers will give you a broad network of contacts both in terms of products and projects as well as various groups of professionals, customers and partners.

The internship involves a wide range of practical tasks in connection with developing and implementing BI solutions. The tasks vary widely from basic BI architecture solutions to complex BI solutions customised to meet customer needs and requirements. We also focused on building up knowledge and methods, and in particular an effective team, where you can be happy and develop as a BI intern. You will therefore be able to make your mark on the BI team and the way in which we work.

Responsibilities and tasks

As a BI intern, you will be part of a talented team and involved in every phase of the BI project while focusing primarily on back-end development (code and SQL) and support. In addition, you will assist in translating user and customer needs and wishes into concrete solutions. It is important that you work systematically and keep a close eye on the details. You are driven by the quality of your work, your interest in BI and your desire to make a difference, and you take pride in understanding complex solutions and customer challenges.

As an intern at Systematic, you will be treated as an equal with the other employees. You will be part of our team from day one and be involved in performing the team’s tasks. You will be able to organise your working day to a considerable extent, and, following a thorough introduction to the project and domain, you will be able to handle tasks independently and engage in further training within the technology and domains. We will strive to strike a good balance between your personal wishes and formal study requirements and our expectations and priorities. The most important thing for us is that you learn a lot and enjoy your time at Systematic and that you find the internship to be a rich opportunity for professional and personal development.

  • Ideally, you have strong communication skills combined with good business acumen, and you enjoy handling a wide variety of tasks.
  • As a person, you are a team player who thrives when working in close cooperation with your team as well as with colleagues across the organisation, and you are willing to engage with customers.
  • We expect that you are studying IT, computer science, or mathematics or studying to become an IT engineer or for an MSc in Business Intelligence or similar.
  • You should be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
  • It is vital that you have a solid understanding of the interplay between people, technologies and processes, and that you are organised, analytical, proactive and motivated.
