Systematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situationsSystematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situations

IT change manager for complex customers and mission-critical solutions

Do you thrive at the intersection of structure and speed — where the decisions you make keep mission-critical systems running for healthcare providers, public authorities, and libraries? Join a team where change management is not just a process, but a discipline that genuinely matters

As part of our organisational transformation, we have moved Customer Organisation closer to our business units to create increased value and a deeper understanding of our customers' needs. As change manager, you will become a central part of a team of five to six dedicated colleagues — including change managers, deployment managers, problem managers, and major incident managers — all working closely together within an ITIL-aligned service management approach.

The role

Our new change manager is responsible for ensuring that all IT service changes are controlled, authorised, and aligned with organisational objectives, balancing speed of delivery with effective risk management in an agile environment. The role is central to safeguarding service stability while enabling innovation and continuous improvement. In short, you make sure that changes happen safely, predictably, and with as little disruption to the business as possible.

You will primarily support and facilitate changes across Systematic's healthcare, national security and infrastructure, and library sectors — domains characterised by high complexity, regulatory requirements, and mission-critical solutions. A key expectation is that you help mature the change management process across projects and leverage AI and automation to optimise workflows, risk assessment, and decision-making.

Leadership and decision-making

  • Make authorisation decisions on changes and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
  • Oversee and continuously improve Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities.
  • Evaluate change outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continual service enhancement.

Coordination and communication

  • Coordinate multiple stakeholders across IT operations, development teams, business functions, and customer-facing units throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Facilitate CAB meetings, ensuring clear communication, structured decision-making, and timely progression of changes.
  • Run awareness campaigns and promote best practices for change management across the organisation.

Methods and process excellence

  • Design, implement, and mature change management workflows, procedures, and governance models.
  • Develop and maintain change models that support predictable, low-risk change execution.
  • Drive continual improvement of change management capabilities, including the adoption of automation and AI-driven insights.

Your qualifications

You have a relevant educational background and experience in IT operations, DevOps, or software development, along with proven experience facilitating change management within ITIL or similar frameworks. You bring strong capabilities in risk assessment, impact analysis, and stakeholder management, and you are able to balance agility with control in a fast-paced, software-driven environment.

It would be an advantage if you also bring:

  • ITIL 4 certification.
  • Experience applying automation and AI to IT service management processes.
  • Familiarity with regulated or mission-critical domains such as healthcare, defence, or the public sector.
  • The ability to leverage AI and automation to optimise IT operations, improve change quality, and support data-driven decision-making.

You thrive in a role where structure and attention to detail matter — you take pride in getting things right and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. At the same time, you are a confident and clear communicator who can navigate conversations across technical teams, business stakeholders, and customer-facing colleagues with equal ease.

Beyond the professional, you are genuinely curious — about technology, about processes, and about the people around you. You are energised by being part of a team with a shared sense of purpose, where collaboration is not just a buzzword but the way things actually get done. You enjoy building relationships, and you bring a natural warmth to the work environment that makes it easier for others to engage with change — not just as a process, but as something meaningful.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here
