IT Project Manager for Next Generation Mobile Products

You lead development of world-leading, next generation Defence products
The newly created Mobile program delivers the next generation of the SitaWare Mobile products. The world leading C4I mobile products (SitaWare Frontline and SitaWare Edge) are being operated by customers across the globe and provide situational awareness to the single soldier and their commanders, a breakthrough in battle management software. They are based on new and modern technologies, developed in an agile development environment and in close collaboration with customers and our product owners.

 

You will assume a project management role and lead 2-3 scrum teams, delivering new product functionality to customers around the world. You will work in an agile development environment following the scrum process, while continuously improving the way we work and delivering high quality products. You will:

  • Responsible for delivering half-yearly projects according to cost, schedule and quality
  • Drive the implemented strategic initiatives and continuously improve development speed and product quality
  • Build and continuously improve high performance scrum teams
  • Grow talents and skilled team members through employee development and people management.
  • Set the direction for the teams and ensure a high level of employee satisfaction
  • Ensure excellent long-distance management – working in close collaboration with team members and project manager at our development center in Romania

 

Some travel activity is to be expected as you will be visiting our development center in Romania and occasionally be part of customer visits around the world.

 

An international business unit
Joining our business unit Defence, you will be part of an international unit with offices in 11 countries and solutions in 40+ countries. We are a strong community of professionals where you will get ample opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the areas of project management and technology.

 

In this set-up, you will step into the Mobile program and meet 4-5 teams and 40+ developers, testers, architects, managers and domain experts based in Denmark and Romania. The aim of the program is to build the next generation Sitaware Mobile products. Joining 2 other projects managers, one based in Romania, you will be head of approximately 10 developers divided into two teams.

Good experience with IT project management

Most important to this position is your experience with people management and project management discipline (planning, risk management, stakeholder management, reporting, KPIs etc.). On top of that, you have 5+ years of IT project management experience, potentially as a senior project manager. As a person you:

  • Have IT-related qualifications comparable to PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA Level C/D
  • Relevant bachelor and/or master’s degree
  • Be able to manage and deliver complex and agile projects
  • Have a proven ability to deliver on cost, schedule and quality
  • Leadership experience and have the ability to coach and motivate inside your project and in the program
  • Have a mindset of improvement and always strive to do better and deliver more value
  • Focus on great processes and a structure that allows you to translate strategy into implementation and results
  • Are outgoing and have an infectious energy that makes everyone want to strive to do better as a team
  • You are fluent in English both verbally and in writing
  • Military knowledge or experience is an advantage but not a requirement
