The Bespoke team is part of the Systematic Defence Services organisation and operates in an international environment close to our customers. All Systematic’s products have an open API that allows additional functionalities to be built externally onto the product. In conjunction with integrating the products in our customers’ environments, customer-specific extensions are often required in order to derive the best value from Systematic’s products. The Bespoke team is responsible for developing such extensions. We work closely with our customers and internal stakeholders to define and develop the required extensions and to ensure that requirements are fulfilled. It is also our responsibility to deliver all extensions on time and to budget, and in the right quality.

Our team is made up of Software Developers, Architects and a Scrum Master. Currently, we are 15 employees in total located both at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark, and in Warsaw, Poland.


Leadership role with many stakeholders


Your role will be to head an international, experienced and highly skilled team. This involves maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction and motivation, planning and ensuring the right staffing on the projects as well as maintaining an overview of current and future tasks and their budgets.


Your main tasks include:

  • Resource planning and staffing on projects, including tracking and reporting on task and project progress
  • Managing and driving relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Setting the direction for the team while ensuring a high level of employee satisfaction
  • Growing talents and skilled team members through employee development and people management
  • Driving the implemented strategic initiatives and continuously optimising software development processes and product quality


You should expect some business travel as you will be visiting our team site in Poland and occasionally participating in customer visits in different parts of world.


A people manager with strong stakeholder management skills


To succeed in this position, you have several years of experience from a people leadership role which enables you to motivate, lead and empower your team. You are skilled and experienced at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with your stakeholders. Experience with managing complex IT/software projects using an agile development approach like Scrum will be of great value to you in this role.

Furthermore, we expect you to have:

  • A relevant Bachelor and/or Master’s degree
  • Certification comparable to PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA Level C/D
  • An interest in software development and IT technologies in general
  • Excellent English skills, both oral and written


You have a well-developed analytical toolbox and effective organisational skills that enable you to identify issues and set the direction. You work well and effectively in an agile environment, and you are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, which enables you to manage and motivate your team and stakeholders.

We work with security classified projects and, as a Systematic employee, you must be able to obtain a security clearance. This means that you must, as a minimum, have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years. See more information about security clearance here.
