Experienced iOS Developer for one of the market’s most advanced health platforms


Location: Aarhus, Denmark.


About the position

The position is based at our head office in Aarhus, and is part of Systematic’s Healthcare business area. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be part of a well-established team of about eight skilled colleagues working to deliver the best possible healthcare for citizens. The team is ambitious, and is driven by wanting to make a difference for society. Columna Cura is one of the most advanced electronic citizen record systems on the market, and comprises a web (Java/Angular) and an app solution based on the international health standard FHIR with integrations to a wide range of other systems. Columna Cura has been up and running for almost 5 years, and is in use at more than 30 Danish municipalities. Columna Care is designed to facilitate the work of health and care personnel, allowing them to spend more time on care and prevention, and less time on documentation while simultaneously ensuring that the relevant information is within reach to create a more efficient decision-making process. Responsibilities and tasks

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work with your team to further develop and support our Columna Cura solution. You will play a leading role in the team, developing technical design and architecture for the iOS client as well as being responsible for sharing knowledge with and disseminating best practice to other developers.


Your working day will be varied and involve:

  • The further development and improvement of the framework in the solution
  • Working with tech leads, architects and lead developers to support the technological strategy
  • Visiting, analysing, and correcting reported errors
  • Clarifying and designing features together with the Product Owner, domain consultant and
  • Architects, as well as development and quality assurance
  • Set-up for distribution through the App Store.


Minimum qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or similar.
  • You have 5+ years of experience at working with iOS development (iOS Swift).
  • You speak and write Danish and English fluently, and you thrive in an international environment where both languages are used daily.
  • We work with security classified projects and, as a Systematic employee, you must be able to obtain a security clearance. This means that you must, as a minimum, have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years. See more information about security clearance here.


The ideal candidate

  • Is prepared to work independently, driving development tasks with responsibility for quality, functionality and estimates for the specific feature
  • Is full of drive, and dares to make mistakes and learn from them
  • Is motivated by a desire for constant professional development in a context and system that is constantly evolving and changing
  • Ideally has experience with or knowledge of the healthcare area
  • Has experience with one or more of the following technologies:
    • Android development
    • Angular
    • TypeScript
    • Gradle
    • REST
    • Docker
    • Spring Boot
  • Experience from a manager-oriented role as well as architecture-related tasks would be a big advantage.


Practical information

  • You can expect 5-10 days of travel a year.
