Senior Test Engineer for Geographic Information System

Are you looking for new challenges within test engineering? Now is your chance to join a highly specialised team and set the direction for how we work with test in the team!

A one of a kind role as a senior software tester!

The position is part of Systematic’s business unit Defence, where you will be part of a specialised sub-team whose primary task is to ensure an outstanding user experience of our software. This happens through development, continual improvement and quality assurance of our state-of-the-art Geographic Information System (GIS), which delivers close to real-time data to our customers. The GIS is used across our Defence programs, and you will therefore be collaborating extensively with the developers and testers of the other programs in Defence, as there are multiple integrations between the systems.

A passion for quality!

You will play a key role in keeping a high level of quality by ensuring our products are thoroughly quality-assured and meet customer requirements. You will work in close collaboration with the two developers in the team to ensure that the right level of quality assurance is built into our products. You will be responsible for providing early test designs that set the framework for feature tests. Furthermore, you will be an integrated part of the development process and continuously discuss with the developers in your team to ensure complete alignment with customer requirements.

Together with your team, you will conduct ongoing risk assessments of the overall product quality throughout the implementation phase. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all test activities relating to our GIS and its functionality are conducted, planned and executed on time, with a focus on quality and user experience.

Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Ensuring that our test processes are adhered to and developed accordingly.
  • Setting the direction for how we work with test and quality assurance in the team.
  • Ensure early test involvement in our development process in cooperation with our system engineers.
  • Creating test designs and cases and be part of risk assessments concerning test planning.

Are you the person we’re looking for to join Systematic?

Our new colleague holds a relevant degree or relevant career within quality assurance. If you have experience from the military and working with C4 products, this also qualifies.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to:

  • Be quality-oriented and prepared to speak up if you feel quality is being compromised or there is scope for improvement.
  • Have a flexible mindset as you can expect many different areas of responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a high degree of fluency in English, and you thrive in an international working environment.
  • We work with security classified projects, therefore, as a Systematic employee, you must have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years. Additionally, it is a requirement to obtain a security clearance when working in our Defence Business Unit. Please read more here.
