

Director of Group IT Strategy (Aarhus or Copenhagen)

Group IT (GRIT) enables Systematic's growth by delivering scalable enterprise services. As Director of Group IT Strategy, you will shape our enterprise IT vision, ensuring technology supports long-term business goals.
In this role, you will:
- Align IT with business: Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, translating requirements into enterprise solutions
- Lead a team of about 10 PMs and EAs: Foster collaboration, support professional growth, and ensure governance excellence leveraging CMMI, ISO 9001, and agile methodologies
- Shape governance and sourcing strategy: Drive accountability, compliance, and efficiency; ensure vendor partnerships support long-term goals
- Lead demand management: Oversee intake and prioritization across the IT portfolio with transparency
- Set technology vision: Establish direction for technology planning, ensuring scalability and innovation
- Oversee financial planning: Direct budgeting, forecasting, and cost transparency to deliver measurable value
Experienced strategic leader with a track record of delivering results
You bring both the strategic thinking and the people leadership skills needed to build a high-performing team while driving organizational transformation. Additionally, we expect that you have:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years in IT strategy and planning for mid-size or larger organizations
- Proven experience leading strategic IT teams through transformation
- Strong IT financial management, budgeting, and portfolio management skills
- Expertise in vendor selection and sourcing management
- Excellent stakeholder management across all levels
- International mindset with ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies
- Excellent English language skills (Danish language skills are advantageous)

You'll report to the CIO and work closely with Engineering and Services Directors and senior stakeholders across Defence, Healthcare, National Security, and Library & Learning divisions.
We are open to you being based either in Aarhus or Copenhagen. The majority of your team members are located in Aarhus, so for Copenhagen-based candidates, regular presence in Aarhus is expected (approximately 10 days per month) to ensure close collaboration and effective people leadership.
