Cloud Platform Engineer

About the position

 

In the position of Cloud Platform Engineer, you will join our IT Infrastructure team, which consists of 7 colleagues whose focus is to continuously deliver the needed services to the business and internal IT systems and 3rd level support to IT Operations.

 

What you will do

 

Your overall responsibility will be to run and drive innovation, implementation, and structure in our IT Infrastructure team in close collaboration with our local IT departments. You will ensure a high level of security and adequate monitoring in and around our 365 environments. We expect that you will act as a Subject Matter Expert when it comes to our Azure cloud environments.

 

Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Continuously evolve and maintain our private and public Cloud (MS Azure) platform
  • Continuously ensure high stability and security in our services, and contribute to improving our Security, usability, and global footprint
  • Diagnose root causes and eliminate critical challenges with a durable solution
  • Make use of automation to simplify testing, monitoring, and maintenance task
  • Ensure governance and monitoring (configuration, monitoring, alerting, reporting, etc.)
  • Do handovers of Maintenance and Monitoring tasks to our IT Operations team through training and guides
  • Provide 3rd level support to Local IT departments and IT Operations

 

To succeed in the role, you:

 

  • Have experience with administration and maintenance of on-prem IT Infrastructure (Linux, Windows, Network, security, deployment, scripting)
  • Have experience with Public Cloud administration and governance (Preferably Azure)
  • Have experience working in a hybrid infrastructure
  • Are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.
