Business-oriented Legal Compliance Counsel

The job we offer
Joining Systematic as our new Legal Compliance Counsel, you will advise on regulatory compliance matters, the impact thereof, and how to best handle such in relation to our customer contracts, our products and projects as well as in the general operation.

 

Additionally, you will participate in driving strategic regulatory compliance initiatives across our global business. You will act as a sparring partner to stakeholders across departments and play an instrumental part in translating legal compliance requirements into business context and -opportunities.


In short, your key responsibilities cover:

  • Advising on regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, NIS2, AI Act and similar, their impact on contracts, internal policies, business operation in general, security requirements, etc.
  • Providing legal compliance support to our business units, helping translate regulatory requirements into actionable business practices.
  • Further developing, maintaining and monitoring existing internal compliance programs (e.g. GDPR, business ethics, risk assessments etc.).
  • Participating in the development and rollout of new compliance initiatives across the organisation.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and changes relevant to our business.
  • Delivering training and awareness initiatives across the organisation.

 

Joining the team
As our new colleague, you will join our highly skilled Legal & Compliance team consisting of 12 colleagues who operate at the heart of the organization and work closely together with stakeholders across Group. Your qualifications
We are looking for a colleague who brings a Master’s degree in law combined with minimum five years of experience in a legal compliance or regulatory role — preferably within the tech or IT sector. Additionally, we look for someone with a strong working experience in GDPR and preferably knowledge or interest in cyber security,  NIS2, AI Act and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 9001).


Furthermore, we expect you to have strong business acumen, to be comfortable with stakeholder management across a global organization and to be self-driven and proactive,  with a collaborative mindset.


Lastly, you must be a skilled communicator, able to translate complex legal advice into practical guidance, as well as being fluent in Danish and English — both written and spoken.


Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
