Business Product Manager for SitaWare Mobile

The Job
As our current Business Product Manager for SitaWare Mobile is taking on new challenges within the Product Management team, we are seeking a skilled and seasoned professional to continue leading the success of our SitaWare Mobile products. With reference to the VP of Product Management, you will be part of the product management team in Defence. Working together with the Domain Product Manager for SitaWare Mobile, you will be responsible for leading the product roadmap definition with support from architects, user experience designers and lead developers to ensure the product meets customer requirements and delivers on business objectives.

You will articulate the product vision from the point of view of customers and end users, and the business model from Systematic’s point of view. Furthermore, you will collaborate with Defence marketing to create internally and externally focused product collateral and define the product marketing key messages. 

Your responsibilities include
In this role, you will get to work on a broad spectrum of tasks, including working with business analysts to identify new market opportunities and build supporting business cases, define and manage the product strategy, business model and release roadmap, and support the Sales and Services
In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be:  

• Periodically analyse product business performance and competitive situation to track goals and inform the product roadmap and strategy
• Support Sales and Services in proposal work by providing product guidance and approval of product expansions, and provide them with the necessary product information, sales collateral, and assistance at special customer visits
• Participate in customer events to present product news and engage with participating customers to discuss improvement opportunities and new requirements
• Work with Defence marketing to define product marketing key messages and thought leadership pieces.
• Work with the domain manager, user experience designers and technical architects to discover and define compelling and creative solutions to new user requirements 
• Specify market requirements for current and future product releases by conducting market research supported by close interactions with domain experts, sales executives, Services, and ongoing visits to existing and new customers.
• Conduct product release training for the Sales and Services organisations
• Represent the company at conferences and trade shows, interface with industry analysts and journalists

 
Your skills and personality 
We are looking for a self-motivated and highly energetic individual, with an ambition and professional commitment to lead our SitaWare Mobile products to continued market success.

• Knowledgeable in software technology (programming skills not required)
• Possess a creative way of thinking
• Able to use abstract thinking to understand the bigger picture and arrive at specific solutions
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in public presentations and/or classroom training
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• This position requires worldwide travel to customer and non-customer sites (10-15%)
• Quick learner, organized and self-motivated with the ability to define goals and prioritise your own work
