Business Intelligence Front-end Specialist

Would you like to help develop data-driven decision-making? Are you passionate about creating value-added reporting that strengthens our decision-making processes? If so, perhaps you are our new Business Intelligence Front-end Specialist and Business Analyst.

You create value-added reporting for our business 
As a Business Intelligence Front-end Specialist, you will be working with your colleagues to build and develop Systematic’s future BI foundation. Together with your team, you will map and prepare processes for solution design. Your role involves migrating the existing reporting universe to Power BI Premium. In addition, you will be working with Power BI Admin and Power BI report development. At Systematic we work across the organisation, and in your daily work you will, in addition to your team, be working with our Business Process Improvement department as well as key staff in our internal IT department.

 

In the process, you will be able to contribute your own ideas, thoughts and experience, and will engage in the following tasks, among others:

  • Designing, scoping and estimating deliverables
  • Development and design of guidelines
  • Building a new Azure PaaS-based data warehouse
  • Defining and describing best practices and governance for the development and operation of the data warehouse and reporting
  • Distributing reports and building a reporting portal

 

The position is one of three newly created BI positions.

You will be based at our office in Aarhus, where you will become part of a strong culture characterised by freedom with responsibility. You will be part of a newly created team of four employees, who are driven by the idea of putting BI on the agenda in a commercial context. You will be joining Systematic at a unique time of continued growth, and you will therefore be helping to shape Systematic through your work at the same time as helping to build a complete data warehouse set-up end-to-end.

 

Developing yourself and the company professionally 
We envisage that you have five or more years of experience at working with Microsoft BI stack and Microsoft BI PaaS services. In addition, you hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within IT, finance or a similar field. Most importantly, however, your experience and educational background should provide you with a solid understanding of the task, you are self-reliant, and you take a structured approach to your work.

 

You hold one or more Microsoft certifications within MSSQL and Microsoft BI stack, and have broad end-to-end experience with insights into the value of BI production. You are able to understand the business and its needs, and bring together IT, business sense and processes into a single coherent deliverable. In your work, your focus is on data quality and integrity, and you know about agile development methods. As a person you are a team player who thrives when working in close cooperation with your team as well as colleagues across the organisation. You assume responsibility for your own learning and development while at the same time focusing on the task.

 

In addition, you preferably have experience with:

  • Visual design and design paradigm
  • User-experience and adoption
  • Business analysis
  • Report development
  • Administering Power BI Premium authority
  • And the following development tools: Visual Studio, Tabular Editor, Management Studio, DAX Editor or Azure DevOps.
  • Code languages such as Python or R.

 

Last but not least, you speak and write Danish fluently and have a good command of English.
