Systematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situationsSystematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situations

Business Developer – software for the water sector

Aarhus, Denmark.

Strategic collaboration and realising the potential

At Systematic, we strive to make a difference in everything we do. We are staking on water, because through digitalisation we can increase the likelihood of everyone having access to clean drinking water, of wastewater being treated correctly, and reducing the amount of clean water which is lost to leaks, currently approx. 40%. We will develop and deliver software solutions which can support the visions and needs of the water sector. The first projects have already been launched in close collaboration with relevant customers and partners.

Systematic was involved in establishing Water Valley Denmark, which will help to support the Danish water sector’s export potential by doubling exports from DKK 20 billion to DKK 40 billion between now and 2030. Water Valley Denmark will ensure, among other things, that the Danish water sector as a whole will be world-leading, create green growth and work towards realising the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Water Valley Denmark is backed by companies such as Grundfos, Danfoss, Kamstrup, AVK Group, Aarsleff, Ramboll as well as several water utility companies. Read more about the the project here: Water Valley Denmark | Improving life through co-creation of meaningful water innovation

You will find yourself joining a fantastic workplace with highly motivated employees in an informal and ambitious environment where it doesn’t take much to put ideas into action. You will become part of a motivated team, which reports to our Senior Vice President for ScaleUp Micro Enterprises.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Reviewing the existing strategy for the area, including alignment and acceptance
  • Operationalising the strategy in close collaboration with the team and stakeholders
  • Actively participating in collaboration and knowledge-sharing in Water Valley Denmark, including with the Advisory Board
  • Creating global awareness of and positioning Systematic’s solutions vis-à-vis the sector
  • Marketing and selling innovative solutions with a focus on scalability
  • Creating and maintaining the pipeline and ensuring regular progress reports
  • Building and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships and partnerships
  • Building up a strong internal and external network as well as disseminating and ensuring a holistic mindset.

Systematic is well known for delivering IT solutions that support critical decision-making – on time. We are characterised by our strong entrepreneurial culture, where we are passionate about making a difference through digitalisation. Therefore, we are constantly challenging each other, our work processes and our technologies to ensure that we are always at the forefront of developments. Consequently, you will have the freedom to experiment with innovative solutions and possibilities. Moreover, you will have every opportunity to develop, both personally and professionally, and you can look forward to a dynamic working day and close collaboration with the entire team.

International and enterprising water nerd

We envisage that you have several years of relevant and successful commercial experience at selling software solutions or large projects, both in Denmark and internationally. You have a good knowledge of the water sector, and are motivated by selling solutions that can improve the sector, both short and long term. You thrive when working closely with both public and private companies.

You shine in the face of complexity, when you are good at studying customer needs and translating them into solutions which Systematic can deliver. In-house, you successfully communicate in such a way that it inspires enthusiasm and motivation among your colleagues. The knowledge you need is found in many places throughout the organisation, so your drive and natural curiosity are also valuable here.

What characterises you as our ideal candidate is that you:

  • Take an entrepreneurial approach
  • Are passionate about business development
  • Are able and motivated to identify customer issues
  • Can quickly grasp an organisational structure and identify the decision-making process as well as possible solutions
  • Find it easy to establish and maintain relations
