Business Controller – Finance Performance & Insights
Do you have a sharp analytical mindset and a talent for turning complex financial data into decisions that move the business forward? As Business Controller at Systematic, you will help shape the business controlling capabilities of a fast-growing software company — at exactly the moment when we are building something new.
The job
Working closely with our Finance Business Partners and the broader controlling team, you will provide the analytical foundation for sound business decisions across the organisation. Your work will span everything from variance analysis and trend identification to management reporting and budget processes, and your insights will directly influence how we steer Systematic forward.
Some of your key tasks will be to:
• Develop and implement controlling frameworks for cost centres and capacity cost management
• Support monthly and quarterly business reviews, identifying risks and opportunities early
• Prepare management reporting, financial forecasts, and budget planning materials
• Build new methodologies for financial steering and performance measurement
• Drive the continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools
Joining the team
You will join a small team of 7 engaged colleges within Finance Performance & Insigts — part of Systematics Finance division at our headquarters in Aarhus. Together, we are 40 diverse and experienced colleagues who value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a healthy work-life balance. We deliver high-quality results through strong partnerships and mutual trust, and we have an open culture built on continuous development.
Finance at Systematic is moving to the next level when it comes to systems, processes, and AI adoption — and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of shaping that journey. We are building unified ownership and stronger capabilities in business controlling, and for the right person there is a clear path toward senior controlling responsibilities.
Your qualifications
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Four to five years of experience in financial controlling, business controlling, or FP&A
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems
• The ability to translate financial insights into clear, accessible language for non-financial stakeholders
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
