You will be part of our rapidly growing Defence business unit and join our Defence Service Products. The team is comprised of almost 20 ambitious and highly skilled women and men in roles such as Software Architect, Developer, Instructional Designer, Product Manager, etc., in Aarhus, Denmark and Bucharest, Romania. You will join the team working in Aarhus. In cooperation with this committed and highly skilled group of engineers and developers, you will accelerate the development and implementation of our new and innovative training solution, SitaWare Aspire.

SitaWare Aspire is a digital training platform for our Defence customers. The solution is modern and intuitive, although we continuously refine it to provide our customers with the best offering. The product is the newest in our portfolio, with more in the pipeline. 

 
How will you make a difference?

You will create and design new, high-quality product features that enhance user learning outcomes. You will take on the feature lead role and have a unique opportunity to make your mark on the product, help grow the team and influence how the team operates. In short, you can look forward to:  

• Designing and implementing high-quality integrations between existing Defence products and the Learning Management System
• Implementing new custom-requested functionalities or features that make a real difference
• Implementing best practices and finding optimum solutions together with the rest of the team
• Taking an active role in the decision-making for new product features and architecture
• Writing and implementing code for the new features
• Troubleshooting, optimising, and solving complex problems in an existing codebase.

 
Experienced software developer with an ambitious and dynamic mindset

Our new colleague has at least 2-3 years of experience with software development and a technology toolbox that includes Java, Kotlin and PHP, as well as experience with Shell Scripting, Containerization and Server Management. The majority of the tasks and features we expect you to work on are backend, but we also expect you to help develop and engage in frontend features as well, so we are looking for fullstack abilities. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or something similar is expected, as is experience with test and deployment automation. You have experience working in Scrum teams and are comfortable communicating in English.

Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have experience building and deploying microservices, relational databases, Keycloak and Kubernetes, and Agile development methodologies. However, it is not a prerequisite.
